What is the Home & School?
1
The Home & School Association is a registered charity run by parents just like you!
2
We activley advocate for improved resources and facilities at our school, ensuring that our children have access to the best tools and learning environments possible. Some recent additions include the school kitchen and the bike track.
3
Did you know the Hall and Pool buildings are owned by the Home & School Association? Our school is too small for the Ministry to provide them, so yep, that’s why we’re always fundraising for building maintenance.
4
We have assisted financially helping fund things like the bus for the end of year school trip and providing the teachers with craft supplies at Christmas time.
5
We organise fun and engaging activities throughout the year to foster a sense of community.
We need you!
Plateau Home and School need your help, we are looking for people to support us by becoming a member of our Plateau Home and School Association, this does not mean you have to join the committee it is showing you are a supporter and will help us maintain our membership requirements. The Home and School are a vital link between the community and the school, helping to fundraise, attend events and build relationships within our community.
Plateau Home and School Association is an incorporated society. Under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022, we must maintain a membership of at least 10 members at all times. It’s important to note that members are different from committee members and officers.
Members: Members of a society are individuals who have agreed to be part of the incorporated society, following the process outlined in the society’s constitution. Unlike officers, members do not have special duties under the 2022 Act.
Why We Need You: Plateau Home and School Association needs its community to sign up as members to meet our legal obligations. There is no monetary or time commitment required. By signing up, you are showing that you recognize and support the goals and work of the Plateau Home and School Association in our community.
